RM-Fiber 4S Optical Attenuation Module

The RM-Fiber 4S is a stand-alone module designed to monitor up to four optical attenuation switches in series on a single fiber. It uses a spare fiber as a measurement loop, with one module acting as a transmitter and another as a receiver for end-to-end monitoring. The module allows programmable attenuation thresholds via an integrated keypad and display, stores settings in internal EEPROM, and supports remote alarms through dry contacts. It can also interface with LANCIER Tx-Bus, CAN-Bus, or Modbus systems for integration into larger monitoring networks .

Variable Optical Attenuators (VOAs)

Variable optical attenuators combine attenuation control with measurement capabilities. Devices like GAO's VOAs allow precise adjustment of optical signal power (0–60 dB) and include power measurement units, displays, and control interfaces.
