For outdoor installations, select an enclosure with IP66 or NEMA 4 ratings to protect against water and dust .
Install the distribution box on a metal or non-wood insulated mounting board to prevent electrical hazards . Use suitable mounting brackets or screws to secure the box firmly, ensuring it is level and stable . The bottom edge of the box should typically be 1.5 to 1.8 meters above the ground for easy access . Ensure all internal electrical appliances are fastened on the mounting plate without inclination or looseness, maintaining proper spacing according to standards .
Label each circuit clearly for future maintenance and troubleshooting. Record installation details, including wire sizes, breaker ratings, and grounding connections, to comply with local codes and standards such as NEC, IEC, or UL/CE certifications .
After installation, reconnect the power supply and perform functional tests, including load distribution verification and insulation resistance testing, to ensure the system operates safely and reliably . Schedule regular inspections and maintenance to maintain long-term reliability. By following these steps, the primary power distribution box will be installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with construction site electrical standards.
