Common Fiber Optic Measurement Instruments

1. Optical Power Meters and Test Sources Optical power meters measure the average optical power in a fiber, typically using silicon, germanium, or InGaAs detectors depending on the wavelength. They are essential for determining source power, receiver power, and fiber loss or attenuation.
