    • For mechanical splicing, insert fibers into the splice holder with index-matching gel and secure them.
  4. Protection: Place the spliced fiber in a protective sleeve or heat-shrink tube to prevent mechanical damage.
  5. ODF Termination: Route the spliced fibers neatly into the ODF panel, securing them in splice trays or holders. Maintain proper bend radius and label each fiber for identification .
  6. Testing: Use an optical power meter or OTDR to verify splice quality and ensure minimal insertion loss.
