How to properly install a cable tray tee

Installing a cable tray tee involves connecting three tray sections to create a branch while maintaining proper support, alignment, and cable management.

  • Grounding straps
  • Power drill, wrench set, measuring tape, level, hacksaw or angle grinder, and file for deburring

Step 3: Install Supports

Install the supports for the main tray and the branch at the marked points. Ensure all supports are level and securely anchored to the wall, ceiling, or floor. The tee fitting should be supported at the same elevation as the main tray to maintain continuous cable support .

Step 4: Connect the Tee Fitting

  • Position the tee fitting between the main tray and the branch.
