ASEAN Gydta Optical Cable

GYDTA optical cables are high-capacity, durable outdoor fiber optic cables designed for long-distance communication networks, supporting up to 576 fiber cores.

Structure and Design

GYDTA cables feature a stranded loose tube design where multiple fiber ribbons (4, 6, 8, or 12 fibers per ribbon) are placed inside loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic (PBT) and filled with a waterproof compound to protect the fibers from moisture and mechanical stress . The central core is reinforced with a metal strength member, typically steel, sometimes coated with polyethylene (PE) for additional cushioning . Loose tubes and filler ropes are twisted around the central core to form a compact, circular cable core, with gaps filled by water-blocking compounds. The cable is then wrapped with a plastic-coated aluminum tape and extruded with a PE outer sheath for environmental protection .
