Installation of cable tray bolts

3. Securing Nuts: Use combination nuts on the outer side of the tray to secure the bolts. For standard M6 truss-head bolts, ensure the joint plate is clamped properly between connectors if the tray width is 400 mm or more to avoid transverse bending .
4. Joint Plates: For tray widths up to 300 mm, joint plates are optional, but for wider trays, they are required to maintain structural integrity .
5. Tightening: Tighten bolts evenly to ensure the tray is level and stable, avoiding over-tightening which could deform the tray or strip threads.

Support and Spacing

• Standard support intervals are typically 1.5 to 3 meters, depending on tray type and load .
• Use appropriate mounting brackets, wall arms, or ceiling struts, and ensure threaded rods or anchor bolts are properly installed to support the tray weight .

Additional Tips

• Deburr cut edges of trays to prevent injury and cable damage.
• Avoid using the tray itself as a lifting point during handling.
